What can you do with it?
An oscilloscope is a type of electronic test equipment that shows how electrical signals change over time on its screen. In other words, it lets you “see” voltage changes over time in parts of a circuit under test.
It is commonly used in troubleshooting electronic circuits. For instance, it can be used to visualize and identify unwanted electrical noise (e.x. an unwanted hum in an audio amplifier) that may be causing a malfunction in a circuit. The scope would show the frequency of the noise, giving clues on how to eliminate it.
We have several members that can show you how to use this.
