Sandblasting is a process that sprays an abrasive material (sand or material with similar consistency) against a surface at very high pressure. This can be used to smooth rough surfaces, rough up a smooth surface, or clean. Different applications require different types of abrasive material.
A common use is removing paint or rust from a piece of metal. You can refinish an old, rusty painted metal sign by sandblasting away the rust and old paint and then prepare the sign for repainting.
You put your workpiece in the cabinet and use the attached heavy-duty gloves to manipulate the piece and sprayer.
